Fashion: Vogue
Vogue is a very popular fashion magazine that has been in the world for many years. This magazine has helped many people find wonderful fashion clothing and get wonderful fashion advice. Vogue is so popular that it is now available in sixteen countries and Latin America.
Vogue was first founded in 1892 by Arthur Baldwin Turnure. During this time Vogue was a weekly publication. In 1909 Arthur Baldwin Turnure passed away and Conde Nast took over. The publication then began to appear every two weeks. He then took it over to Britain and France where Vogue had a wide success. During the Depression and World War II the magazine picked up. The magazine then went onto feature many popular models. Many of these models got their start with Vogue magazine. In 1973 the magazine began monthly publications. The now editor in chief of the American Vogue is Anna Wintour. She took over in 1988. She has worked steadily to make the ideas of fashion available to all of her audiences.
Vogue is not without its share of criticism. In 2003 Lauren Weisberger who was Anna Wintours one time assistant wrote a book entitled The Devil Wears
