Victorias Secret is a famous and well known seller of womens fashion. Victorias Secret sells lingerie, womens wear and other cosmetics as well as perfume. The company is known for its well produced fashion shows, its great commercials and its catalog featuring many top models in the fashion industry. Victorias Secret has become a household name with many shows as well as commercials. It has also helped lead many models to success.

Victorias Secret was first founded in California, in the city of San Francisco. The company was founded by Roy Raymond. He would find himself often embarrassed when going into department stores to purchase his wife lingerie. In 1977 he opened up the first store in the Stanford shopping center and after the popularity of this store, he quickly had three more stores and a mail order catalog. In 1982 Raymond sold the company to The Limited which added more to the company. In the early 1990s Victoria Secret became the largest retailer for lingerie in the United States. The company made one billion dollars during these years. In 1995 Victorias Secret started its annual fashion show. The show attracts many celebrities and has many headline acts that help to put the show on.

In 1999 Victorias Secret started the Angels. The Victorias Secret Angels are a group of supermodels that model the lingerie and products that the company releases. Many of these models are very popular and are well known throughout the world. In 2007 the Angels were the first trademark to be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Many notable models have been Angels. Some of these include, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Gisele Bundchen, and Candice Swanepoel. You can see many of these Angels on television during the Victorias Secrets commercials. The Angels are featured on all of the fashion shows that are put on by Victorias Secret.
