This book which showed the details of working for a fashion magazine and how cruel the fashion world can be. This book later went on to become an Academy Award nominated film in 2006. In the year 2007 Vogue was targeted by an anti-smoking group. They said that this magazine should not carry advertisements for tobacco products. Another controversy with Vogue was the 2008 April cover. This cover depicted supermodel Gisel Bundchen and LeBron James. It was said to be a prejudiced picture of James and was reminiscent to King Kong. Many people protested this cover but it went on to be a success and highly purchased.
